Getting a parking space at Newark Airport can be a hassle. Due to the heavy passenger traffic, it is hard to find a parking spot on-site.
You can save time and money by making a parking reservation in advance. This will guarantee you a parking space at the best rate possible.
Short-term parking
Parking at Newark Liberty International Airport can be a bit of a headache, especially when it’s time to park for an extended period. The good news is that there are plenty of options to help calm your nerves and save you some money!
If you’re only visiting the airport for a few hours or want to get in and out quickly, short-term parking is the best option. These lots are located close to terminals, and can be accessed with no need for the AirTrain or shuttles.
You can pay for your parking using all major credit/debit cards, E-ZPass Plus or Contactless Payments. However, cash is not accepted in these lots.
If you have limited mobility, Newark Liberty International Airport offers a number of designated parking spaces in each short-term parking lot near the terminal entrance. These spaces are available to passengers with official disabled license plates or other authorized permits. They must be displayed prominently.

Some of these lots also offer a shuttle service. These shuttles are free and run every 2 to 10 minutes to and from the airport terminals.

Long-term parking
Newark Liberty Airport parking can be a bit pricey if you are looking for long-term options. If you are looking for an affordable option, look at private or hotel lots that may offer savings.
Onsite EWR parking rates range from $21 for Economy Parking (Lot P6) to $38/day for Daily Lots and $44/day for Short-Term Lots. If you are looking for a cheaper option, off-site EWR parking is always a great choice.
There is also hourly parking available at the airport. This can be a convenient option for those who are only traveling to and from the airport for a few hours.
Persons with disabled license plates or official permits are allowed to park in the reserved parking spaces in these short-term lots for a discount of $4 per half hour up to $20. To take advantage of this, press the Help button upon exiting the lot and request the courtesy discount.
There is also a free Cell Phone Lot at the airport near the P4 parking garage, less than 5 minutes walk from all terminals. Drivers are not allowed to leave their vehicles unattended at this facility, and must be accompanied by someone else to pick them up.
